Quantity Queries

Quantity Queries are a complex CSS media query that allowed styles to be applied based on the number of children available in a parent.

Built in 2016, the site uses a beta version of React as the framework had just been introduced and I was curious about building in it.

The project took off quickly. Developers, especially those in the React community, were eager to try and use the tool. The success of the app lead to myself being asked to write multiple articles for Smashing Magazine on the concept of a Quantity Query and the tool itself.

The tool has also been used in projects from startups to Fortune 500 companies. Developers around the world have benefited from the project and its accompanying articles, which have opened up a new world of possibilities for web developers who had previously been limited in their styling options.
